It's Tax Season! Take Advantage of Free Tax services

Written by Cooley Law School | Feb 8, 2020 2:30:00 PM

Once again it's tax season. Probably one of the most stressful times of year, outside of the pressures you might feel during the holidays or, if you are a law student, taking a law school exam. Take a deep breath. There are some easy and FREE resources you might be able to use.

MyFreeTaxes is a free, safe and easy way for individuals to file their federal and state taxes for free. It is the only free, national, online tax filing product offered by a nonprofit. The service is sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), United Way, and community non-profit tax coalition partners (like Cooley Law School). It is completely open to the public.

The IRS also offers free e-filing for those earning under $69,000 through many [otherwise paid] providers. You can get more information about the Freefile Program by going HERE. Happy filing!
