Hollywood, FLA. – Cooley Law School student Tory Sanders Jr. has been recognized as an “outstanding law student” by the City, County and Local Government Law Section of the Florida Bar. Sanders received a $500 scholarship during CCLGL Section’s 48th annual conference at the Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood in April.
“Recognition from a community of your peers isn’t just an honor, it’s a signal that excellence matters,” said CCLGL Section Chair Peter J. Sweeney of MTC Law in Vero Beach. “It raises the bar for all of us and helps reinforce the values of diligence, innovation, and service. The legal profession and the section benefit when we recognize achievement, encourage leadership, and foster community.”
Sanders was among seven law students from across Florida who were presented with a $500 scholarship and a plaque recognizing their academic achievements and commitment to public service.
The CCLGL Section of the Florida Bar is dedicated to supporting legal professionals at all stages of their careers, while continuing to shape the future of local government law in Florida through education, advocacy, and leadership. The conference is the section’s signature CLE event, bringing together attorneys and professionals committed to advancing local government law across the state.
