Romain chose law school because, like many students, he first thought he wanted to work as a police officer, but came to find that studying the law was really what he was interested in studying.
After completing his first year, Romain found that the biggest surprise for him was the amount of work that is expected of students. He mentioned that as an undergraduate student you feel that you have the ability to slack off a bit and relax. Not in law school. This was particularly the case in regards to reading for class as Romain mentioned that it was "non-stop."
Romain stressed that students have to be serious when it comes to law school and reading for their classes.
Romain has had the opportunity to also be an intern in his first year of law school which as he stated was "challenging" but very rewarding too.
Romain stated that in the end you do not want to put anything off in law school. Keep at it, and keep focused. "The satisfaction that you will receive in the end from your success will be amazing!"
